Logan Favreau will take over the head coaching position this season with the Springfield Demize UWS. As an assistant coach for the Lady Demize in their inaugural season in the United Women’s Soccer league, Logan looks to build off the the roster of local players representing the areas collegiate programs. These schools encompass Southwest Missouri and include Drury University, Missouri State , Missouri Southern State University, Evangel University and SBU. The Lady Demize will also rely heavily on the development partnership with Sporting Springfield to provide additional opportunities for both Sporting’s graduating seniors and members of their high school girls teams. Sporting Springfield has developed the areas top high school girls program, whose teams compete at the state, regional and national levels of youth soccer. Logan has been working for the last 4 years with Sporting Springfield as staff coach and more recently as the organization’s Youth Director.
Logan hails from Kansas City where his multicultural family (American mother and French father) settles. Logan also grew up a portion of his childhood in Paris, France and spent the latter years of high school in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Growing up in overseas, Logan has been exposed to different levels international soccer, and been exposed to various coaches and styles of play, at all levels of the game. A prime example of this would be while in Dubai, Logan played at Spanish Soccer Schools under former Real Madrid legend Michel Salgado and former RC Celta player Pablo Coira. While living in France, Logan played for local clubs in Paris, and when in the states he played Sporting Blue Valley in Kansas City. For the previous 4 years, Logan was a member of the Drury men’s soccer team where he played for the Panthers in the GLVC, one of the top conferences in the country. Logan is also a member of the Demize NPSL and MASL teams.

We have good local talent at the collegiate level as well as in the Academy level at Sporting Springfield with many high level players looking to continue there soccer journey by playing in College. The UWS team has the unique opportunity to help further develop those players and provide the platform to play in a national league during the summer months,“ stated Logan Favreau
