As Demize PASL prepares to wrap up the 2020 regular season this Saturday in Kansas City against Barilleros, the club looks to finish undefeated in the Midwest Division. Demize sits at the top of the table with a perfect 7-0 record and 21 points. As of now, the club is one of three undefeated teams remaining throughout the league along with Capital City SC and Cincinnati Swerve. The squad has seen contribution from every player involved and this balanced play has been evident on the scoresheet. Five of the top six scorers in the division are currently Demize players. Rian Marques leads the division with 8 goals, Marcelo Hernandez follows with 7, and Michel Allou, Jaxn Rogers, and Erik Pereira each have 6 goals to their name. All of these players have competed with the Demize NPSL side at some time in the past which is a common theme with this season’s roster. The club was also able to showcase its talent in an exhibition with MASL2 professional side, Wichita Wings. Demize travelled to Wichita to play in the match in an electric atmosphere at Hartman Arena. Demize led for most of the game and took a 5-4 lead into the fourth quarter. While the Wings eventually went on to win the match, the Demize coaching staff was proud of the performance from the squad against the number two team in MASL2.
The club is proud of its recent success in the NPSL and PASL and is excited to see continued growth. Many players competed for both squads and a number of them have joined the coaching staff for Demize Academy teams. Demize has proven that it can compete with elite talent and asks fans for their continued support as we head into PASL Nationals!
